SmartTID's Privacy Policy
SmartTID’s Privacy Policy explains how SmartTID uses the personal information you leave behind when you visit the website. You should always be aware that, as an internet user, you leave electronic traces behind, and that this allows others to track your online activity.
Cookies
The SmartTID website uses cookies for purposes such as search engine optimization.
Data Collection During Visits to the SmartTID Website
SmartTID has ongoing access to statistical information about visitors to its website. It is not possible to identify individual persons based on this information. When you visit SmartTID’s website, the following information about you is collected:
- Which websites you've visited and when—your "digital footprint,"
- Which browser you use,
- What your IP address is.
When you browse the web, you leave behind an “electronic trail”that reveals where you’ve been. This trail is created because your browser sends information to a server, such as “I’d like to view the page at the address www.smarttid.dk.”
Most browsers provide information about their brand and version number, e.g., Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0. The server can then return the page you requested so that it displays correctly in your specific browser.
At the same time that your browser requests www.smarttid.dk , it sends some other information to that server, including, among other things, your IP address (your “address” on the Internet). The server then knows where to send the page you’ve requested.
Purpose of Data Collection
SmartTID can use the information mentioned above, among other things, to see which path you take to find information on www.smarttid.dk.
Among other things, SmartTID can tell whether you start on the home page and navigate down to the subpages, or whether you land in the middle of the website from, for example, a search engine. This information is used only for operational purposes and to compile statistics, which can be used, among other things, to improve the structure of the SmartTID website.
Data Collection Through Newsletter Subscription
When you sign up for the SmartTID newsletter, the email address you provide will be recorded.
This information is used to automatically send you the SmartTID newsletter. The information is stored with SmartTID’s data processor (web hosting provider). A few SmartTID employees have access to a list of subscribers. Using this information, SmartTID stays informed on an ongoing basis about the number of subscriptions.
The information will not be disclosed, and the information will be deleted immediately if you unsubscribe from the newsletter.
